Question: Hi, I’m 39 years old, I had sex with my girl friend about a month ago and got a little cut under the head of my penis, we waited a couple days for it to heal and once we had sex again it reopened. This time around we waited for about a week or so without having sex and I noticed that my skin was getting extra tight around the head of my penis and it was peeling a little bit.
We had sex again but I was very gentle because I was scared to recut it. When I stopped my penis had reopened the cut and the skin around it was very tight and red.

Based on the facts that you have posted cracks in foreskin after sex and foreskin becoming tight around the glans penis is mostly due to infection o foreskin ( Posthatitis)

Get your blood sugar tests done to rule out Diabetes .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

I took 5 days worth of nitrofurantoin and it got better. My girlfriend and I waited 2 weeks to have sex. We tried again and the skin got cut again, not as bad. It’s healed now but, my skin around the head of my penis is peeling. I grab tissue to wipe it off and the skin comes off with it.
Should I put some type of lotion on it ?

You have developed fissures over the foreskin again after having sex .This could be due to partial Phimosis .However this can be confirmed only on clinical examination in person by a qualified General Surgeon .

I would suggest you to consult qualified General Surgeon to confirm the same .

In the men time use Neosporin ointment ..
