Brief Answer:
Possibly the bowel is the cause of the pain, bits of advice given

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service,

I carefully read your query and here is my advice:

If your period came on due time and lasted as usual, very likely the pinching is not related to the periods. If you do not have any urinary symptoms like frequency or burning, very likely it is not related to urinary problems either.

The most likely cause of the ones you mention is the IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).
IBS may cause discomfort in the lower abdomen which may vary from mild to severe. In your case, because the pinching is mild and not so bothersome, I would recommend that you just watch how it will behave in the next few days especially If you are taking medications for IBS or you are having daily normal stools.

If your bowel movement is difficult or is more often than it should, then you might need to take treatment for IBS ( the treatment varies if you have diarrhea or constipation). Fiber and probiotics can be helpful if used daily.

To conclude:
- very likely your symptoms are related to bowel, especially in the terrain of IBS
- you do not need pain killers at the moment as the intensity of the pain is low but you will need to watch it in the next week or so
- fiber and probiotics are routinely recommended in IBS and specific treatment for constipation or diarrhea depends on if you have any of these.
- if you notice any worsening of the pain in the next few days or any skin lesions appear locally, you will need to see a doctor and have a proper check.

I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Bacterial vaginosis is unlikely to be the cause, muscles can cause pain in

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back,

Bacterial vaginosis does not cause abdominal pain so it is very unlikely the pain is related to bacterial vaginosis.
Muscles may cause low abdominal pain so it might be that the pinch sensation might be related to it especially if you have had any activity that might cause muscle pain. In this case it is nothing to worry, muscle pains should be better within a week or so.

If the pain is still mild and not getting worse and not getting more frequent and also you do not develop new symptoms it can be safe to wait till you have the appointment.
In case the pain is worse or gets more frequent or new symptoms develop, it is very important that you be seen by a doctor.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
