Hi there
Thanks for the query
Yes, commonly muscular pain presents between the shoulder blades and even over the front of the chest. However, if you feel the chest pain getting worse or making you feel your heartbeat abnormally it would be best to go to the ED.
Sometimes musculoskeletal chest pain can get worse with certain positions like bending forward or lifting heavy objects or attempting to lie on the bed.
Anxiety can also be a cause of chest pain. Perform relaxing deep breathing exercises and Yoga for relief.
You can take a pain killer for relief. Avoid caffeine, colas and crisps to reduce chances of gastritis which can cause chest pain.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Thanks so much for timely follow up. The chest pain is not present anymore upper back feels a bit tight my heartbeat feels normal. If the pain were due to something more serious would it remain constant really trying to stay away from ER I live in New York and fear becoming infected with coronavirus but of course if pain were severe I'd go.

Detailed Answer:
It appears that the symptoms are due to anxiety. I recommend relaxation techniques.
It's best done with the help of a Therapist but in the current circumstances, you can try an example on YouTube to relax your upper back muscles

Perform deep breathing exercises and Yoga if possible as well.
