Hi, I'm Coming Up On 48 Hrs Since A Nasty

Question: Hi, I'm coming up on 48 hrs since a nasty cut to my left ring finger. A sharp knife punctured it while cutting meat at my job. The cut is deep and right at the first knuckle on the underside (palm side) of finger. I rinsed with soap and water while bleeding and wrapped tightly with gauze to stop the bleeding. The next day I unwound the gauze and could not get it all the way off because the gauze seemed to be wedged into the cut and stuck. I soaked the finger for 2 hours in saline to no avail. I cleaned and applied neosporin took ibuprofen and went to bed that night. Now on day 3 I've attempted to soak for another hr with no success. Should I be worried about the gauze wedged into the cut? Will the healing process push the gauze out or will a scab form and fall off along with the gauze? What would you recommend?

Brief Answer:
Try Hydrogen Peroxide and post photos

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Please post clear and focused photo.
Soaking in saline should have helped.
Have you tried hydrogen peroxide for soaking, it will loosen most probably.
Surely a wedging of anything in the would will not allow healing, acts as a foreign body after a few days hence should be removed.
Such cuts ideally need to be stitched.

Awaiting for your feedback and photo.
