Also get injections 3 neck & back for past 2 years! Last week I took a urine test & nothing showed up so my dr said I need to test positive in order for him to prescribe! Can u please tell me EXACTLY how much I need to take prior to my next test so it will show up in my urine? I need to know how many milligrams & how long before the test I should take them so I test positive for them! Please give a direct specific answer! They let me know when I need to get tested! I’m not hiding anything! I just take when needed but I have to show up positive in order to continue with the meds per my specialist ! I really appreciate your time! Ty
Brief Answer:
Two to three days of use will be sufficient
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns about getting the prescribed medications.
The half life of Percocet is around four to six hours so getting the medication for two to three days should be sufficient to get positive results on testing for opioids.
In other words if you use the 5 mg twice a day for two to three days before the test date you will get the positive results for the use of medication.
I hope this answers you.
Thanks again.

Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
You need to take only recommended dose as excessive level of medication in your system can show high level of medication resulting in ban on prescription for opioids.
As you are prescribed 5 mg twice a day so taking the same dose for three days (including day of test) will be sufficient to do needful.
I hope this clarifies.
Thanks again.

Brief Answer:
12 hours apart
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Before I can answer this I like to share with you that with repeated dosing of medication a level of medication achieved in five to six half lives of medication. For example considering half life of 4-7 hours for percocet we can expect a constant level roughly within 24 to 40 hours time. Even if you are a slow metabolizer this time will not extend beyond 72 hours.
After the level is achieved our body removes a fraction of medication and same is refilled with repeated dosing of medication.
Now coming back to your question 2-3 days of time will be sufficient to achieve the required level and you are not supposed to take more than two tablets per day and make sure that the interval between two days is 10-12 hours (12 hours can be considered for ease of remembering).
I hope this clarifies.
Thanks again.
