Hi. I’ve Been Having Some Issues With Allergies For A

Question: Hi. I’ve been having some issues with allergies for a long time. My eyes get red, wake up with mucus in my throat and I feel stopped up a lot. I’ve tried using neilmed sinus rinse, Zyrtec and Flonase but it makes me feel very ‘weird’. I can’t really explain the feeling but it almost makes everything seem boring and pointless. I feel emotionless after I take the medication. It also makes my voice very raspy and it becomes hard to speak. Is that normal? And will it go away? I’ve only been able to take the medicine for a couple days before I stop because I feel like it’s just making me feel worse.
Brief Answer:
Add steroids and substitute zyrtec
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in HCM
I am sorry for your situation
As I evaluated your doctor's diagnose you have adenoids and allergy in the upper airways.
For the allergy you can add in your current treatment oral steroids such as Prednisone for some days. You can substitute zyrtec with Telfast 180 mg twice orally also.
Zyrtec might be the cause of your concern.
However you should do adenoidectomy because they worsen the situation and can block the inner nose and the secretions get stuck.
