Question: Hi,

I’ve experienced stomach pain, nausea, and difficulty eating for two months. My doctor had me take several tests, which all (except CT scan) came back negative. My CT scan showed a mass near my stomach. My doctor has now scheduled an upper endoscopy.

I had both hernias removed when I was young, and my gall bladder removed one year ago. Should I mentally prepare for the endoscopy to show cancer?

My insurance provider is Kaiser Permanente. Apparently, I have to request a copy of my CT scan results through my doctor and Medical Records - both are out today (Sunday). I have sent an email to my doctor. So far he has just summarized by stating that a mass appears near my stomach.

I won’t be able to get a full report in the CT scan until after the endoscopy. Based on the info I’ve provided, can you tell me likely possibilities of the endoscopy?

My endoscopy revealed large mass in my stomach wall (4 cm.). Tissue sample sent for biopsy. All my previous blood tests have come back negative. Am I looking at probable benign or malignant tumor? Stomach Cancer?

I still we suggest you to wait for the biopsy results, than we can have the exact diagnosis

The fact that you’re blood tests are back negative is a good and positive sign.
