Hi. My 2 Month Old Son Got Some Rashes Like

Could be pitryriasis XXXXXXX or post inflammation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to me.
I have seen the attached pictures.
From what I can make out
1. Rashes appear as pale white hypo pigmented macules spread over chest and back.
2. These rashes could be pitryriasis XXXXXXX or post inflammation.
These are common in this age and arise without any cause. Some babies may be allergic to skin cleansers or soaps or powder.
Usually these do not require any treatment.
I usually suggest moisturizer like derma dew lotion or cream twice daily for a week or two weeks.
Giving bath twice daily also will help.
Avoid cosmetics, powder etc.
Use any syndet soap. Avoid other soaps
Avoid sun exposure.
Usually these spots fade away in a month or so.
If there is associated itching, or any other symptoms like fever, vomiting, loose stools, etc consult your doctor to rule out infection associated skin rashes.
