Brief Answer:
Continue with 500mcg thyroxine

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

From the reports, it seems that you are either taking a high dose of thyroxine or your natural hormones have normalised. In my opinion you can reduce the thyroxine to 250mcg per day and recheck after one month.

Kindly let me know how this problem started? Did it start after an infection, pregnancy etc? Usually when such trigger subsides, the problem also resolves. But if the problem is due to antibodies towards thyroid gland, then it may progress. You can check this with a blood test called antiTPO antibody test.
You can drink cleaner water with low TDS and iodinated salt and see if it helps to get rid of thyroid problem.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Before i have mentioned 625 mcg it's not 625 mcg. It is 62.5 mcg in recent report tsh is 0.43 micro iu/ml and ft4 is 1.73 ng/dl. could you suggest me correct doseage in order to normalize thyroid. Once it gets to normal can i stop using tablets. I have Psoriasis problem but now i don't have. if i keep on using tablets will effect on skin and getting pregancy. Kindly suggest me how to control thyroid

Brief Answer:
Take 25 mcg per day

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Thanks for reverting back with details.

I think that your hypothyroidism is mild and it has chances of resolving by itself. Thyroxine is only to replace the low thyroid T3, T4 levels in blood.

In my opinion you can take 25 mcg per day and repeat test after a month to check the levels again. Future dose depends on thyroid levels.

No, taking thyroxine does not affect skin or chance of getting pregnant.
