Hi. My Daughter Passed Being Diagnosed With Staged Iv Metastatic

Question: Hi. My daughter passed being diagnosed with staged iv metastatic lung cancer. Everyday she had chest x-rays and occasional scans. Would this give the Drs an indication along with the daily blood tests, that patient had lung cancer and not sarcoidosis
Brief Answer:
No they are not indicators of the diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in HCM
I am sorry for your doctor
I don't think the several chest X rays would help in differentiation of the diagnosis sarcoidosis or lung cancer.
In both of them the gold standard for the diagnosis is the biopsy of the lung tissue. After having the results the pulmonologist specialist decide for the further next step.
Blood tests are not indication of the diagnosis instead.
It would be better if I have see her chest CT to explain correctly what has been the correct her situation.
Hope to have been helpful
