Urinary tract infection. Needs testing, clinical examination, treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. It seems that your child is suffering from Urinary tract infection. It is often seen in female children of this age. Such an infection can be confirmed by getting urine routine microscopy with culture sensitivity done. In case of such an infection you need to make her drink plenty of water. Depending on the urine reports you might to take appropriate antibiotics.

Let me know if I could help further.

Hi sir,
She was not able to pee for sometime fearing the burning sensation. Then we have given her water and buttermilk. After that citralka syrup 5ml in half glass water.
After 15 mins she was able to urinate with a very little pain. After half an hour she urinated again with very little pain at start. The urine was almost water color.
What do you suggest. Should we go for tests now? Yesterday we have given her black pepper in milk for cold. Will that cause such burning sensation? And she drinks average amount of water.

Hi sir, thanks for the response. Is this any serious condition like problem in kidneys or blader? What all tests needs to be done....hospitalization is required?

Brief Answer:
Give her plenty of water to drink

Detailed Answer:
I would insist you not to panic. The urinary tract starts from the kidneys and ends in the urethra. Naturally there are chances of one or more parts being involved. You first need to see a doctor who can clinically examine your child. Urine needs to be checked for routine microscopy and culture sensitivity. I will also insist for a blood count and CRP. Based on the findings it can be suggested whether hospitalisation is needed.
