Brief Answer:
Excessive wax may be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Water can remain trapped in the ear due to many reasons, excessive ear wax is a major cause. Other causes like narrow ear canal, presence of foreign bodies or benign polyps in the ear canal also be ruled out.
As a first line management you can try wax dissolving drops for a week.
You can also try ear plugs while taking bath.
If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. An otoscopic examination is required to look for any impacted wax or ear drum perforation.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
