Question: Hi. My left testicle has been randomly sore over the past few weeks. About ten years ago I went to the Dr. for the same symptom but it was much worse. I had an infection that just landed in there and some antibiotics cleared it up. What could be causing this? Anything to worry about?

Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted pain in left testes that you have is most likely to be due to infection of Epididymis (Epididymitis) or Testes (Orchitis ) or due to Varicocele,However final diagnosis can be confirmed only on clinical examination by a qualified General Surgeon or Urologist .

Please consult and get following basic tests done to establish diagnosis
1) Urine routine and urine culture
2)Ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum
3) Color Doppler study of scrotum .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

In the meanwhile start taking antibiotics like Cephalexin and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac and Serropeptidase twice daily .

Ensure to drink more water .

Using Scrotal support will help to reduce the pain .
