Question: Hi,
My mom has been suffering from Vaa (In English, some people call it 'Arthritis'). She is feeling so much pain in the area - below the chest and above the umbilicus. whenever she eats something, this pain increases for a few hours. If we touch the area mentioned above, it is not normal/soft. Sometimes, she also tells us that she feels pain on finger joints.
Two days back, we had gone for a Blood Report test and the reporter told us that my mom has Vaa and it has spread almost 70% in her body/blood. The reporter suggested taking advice from Rheumatologist. So, I need help from you (Advice, suggestions and medicine names to control the pain)

Brief Answer:
it is rheumatoid arthritis
Detailed Answer:
hello,
this seems to be rheumatoid arthritis.
her test shows that her hemoglobin in quite low, and her RA factor is positive.
her abdominal area may be feeling abnormal because of gas/acidity.
I suggest that she needs medicine for acidity and proper medication for arthritis.
her abdominal condition could also be due to pain killers, if she is taking it.
I suggest she she should also do LFT and KFT.
please let me know.

Thank you for your reply.
I have attached medicine list which she has been taking. These medicines have provided by a doctor who is not a Rheumatologist.
What do you suggest on that medicine list, I mean should she continue taking these all medicines or stop a few of them or all? Please suggest a medicine name to control pain and acidity as well.
She also wants to know what should she eat and what shouldn't for lunch/dinner. She drinks milk every day, will it produce gas/acidity in this current condition?
Pardon me for asking many questions. As you know the RA factor is at 70.37, we came to know that my mom's health is very dangerous and this problem may cause death. So, my family is very scared and therefore I am asking you more questions.

Detailed Answer:
hello, she is already taking medicine for gas, however she is also taking pain killers, she needs to reduce intake of naprosyn, trson d, as these are pain killers.
secondly, her hemoglobin is very low,
fdson 12 is a multi vitamin, let her take that every day, she is taking folitrax 10 mg weekly, this is the medicine for arthritis, this should be given only under supervision of a rheumatologist, please see a rheumatologist in your area.rest medicines are fine.
for acidity she can add mucaine gel which she can take 10 ml as required.
if pain is too much in joints she should take paracetamol, and her anti rheumatic drugs can only be prescribed on seeing her.
diet should be light diet, soft diet, milk can be avoided for time being.
RA is easily treatable and controllable if you reach the right doctor.
regards
