Hi: My Mom Is In Her Mid 70s And Leaves

Question: Hi: My mom is in her mid 70s and leaves in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX She is staying unrest the whole day. She is constantly on her feet except during sleeping hours. She takes sleeping tablets along with other medications. She is absolutely resistant to visit a doctor. We tried in every possible ways to take her to the doctor. But nothing is working. She does her own routine works. She has sharp memory but she keep asking for food 2 hours (in every 2-3 minutes interval) before her lunch and dinner time. Even if we want to serve her food before time, she is denying and then continue to ask for food till the actual lunch/dinner time. Those 2 hours, she is more unrest than ever. In entire day, she is not willing to do any conversation, no entertainment; she does not want to go anywhere. Please advise what should we do to increase her and family's quality of life ?
Brief Answer:
It can be an early sign of Alzheimer’s.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
The signs and symptoms are suggestive of early features of Alzheimer’s or senile dementia. It is an age related change. However we have to rule out other possibilities also.
Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. An MRI scan is required to rule out any possible intracranial causes.
Proper training is required for patient and caretakers.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

Thanks, dr. As mentioned before, my mom gives lots of resistance to go for Dr visit. Is there any alternative option available to clinical visit of such patient? Also, I submitted a list of medicines that she is taking, are any of those or combination of medicines contributing to her violent behaviour?
We do not see any sign of memory loss, short or long term.
Best regards
Ranjita

Brief Answer:
It is unlikely be related to routine drugs.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is unlikely be related to her routine drugs( even though I could blintzes seen ant attached prescription)
In early stage of Alzheimer’s, there may not be much memory loss and abnormal behaviour may be manifested.
I would recommend to visit a doctor as some investigations must be done to evaluate the cause.
Thanks
