Hi, My Son Is 4years 9 Months Old. His Weight

Question: Hi,
My son is 4years 9 months old. His weight is 13.5kg and height is 95cm. He was not a premature baby. My elder son also had same height and weight when he was 4 years old. My height is 158cm and my husband 168cm. My weight is 57kg and my husband 58kg.
I and my husband are not diabetic. But my father is diabetic. He became diabetic in his old age. But last week we checked my son's blood sugar level. It was 116mg. We repeated it the next day. It was 89. Today he urinated 7 times in between 9am to 9PM. Somedays are like this. He urinates more frequently(not within an hour). Not all days. He feels thirsty also. But it is in the evenings only. This is also not every days. There is no bedwetting yet. Is he prediabetic? Need a checkup??

Brief Answer:
Pre diabetes is unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
These are not sure signs of diabetes.
You can go for a fasting blood sugar level to get a rough estimate of the blood sugar level.
You can also go for Glycated hemoglobin (A1C) test
The higher your child's blood sugar levels, the more hemoglobin your child will have with sugar attached. In general: An A1C level below 5.7 percent is considered normal. An A1C level between 5.7 and 6.4 percent is considered prediabetes.
Wishing all the best
