Hi. My Son Sometimes Widens His Eyes. And In A

Most likely could be seizures.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.
I have noted your child's clinical details. Based on this, the most likely cause could be absence seizures. However, the episodes are infrequent. EEG can be normal in about 50% cases of seizure disorder.
It would be useful to a brain scan, preferably an MRI, especially because he has speech delay too. EEG can be repeated.
The decision to start anti-seizure drugs can be made if MRI is abnormal, or if these episodes increase in frequency.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,

If they are not seizures, then we need to treat them as normal
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
The only possibility for those symptoms are seizures. If we have excluded seizures, then, it can not be any other disease. We need to treat them as normal.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM
