Hi , My Wife, Aged 40 Years Has Been Complaining

Question: Hi ,
My wife, aged 40 years has been complaining of pain in her left breast and armpit. We got the mammography done and was diagnosed with benign fibroadenoma. Is it serious , can it become cancerous. Further, she is also complaining pain in her forearms and had lifted a heavy item in the house few weeks back. Is the pain in forearms related to fibroadenoma or is it completely different. Brief Answer:
Pain may be unrelated...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the details with diligence.
Fibroadenoma are benign tumor. It doesn't turn cancerous. Therefore I would not be worried. It is definitely not serious.
It presents as a painless lump and the current symptoms of pain may not be related to it. More likely she developed a muscular pain following lifting heavy weight.
She will need to observe the progress of lump. If the lump increases or she notices any skin changes report to the doctor.
Hope I am clear. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards

Thank you doctor. The pain is like a pinching/ stabbing pain and has been rotating across both hands predominantly on the left arm. However, it is not a constant pain. If it’s a muscular pain, then how long will it take to heal. Also what medication we should take for the pain to go away permanently.
Brief Answer:
Pain medication will help...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Muscular ache should resolve with pain medication. I would consider starting tab etoricoxib + thiocolchicoside - Tab Etoshine MR twice daily for 3-5 days.
It is difficult to predict how long it takes to heal. But if the same pain persists beyond 5 days or more, she needs to be evaluated again by the doctor.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Continue medications...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
What painkiller is she on? I suggest Etoshine MR / Movexx MR tablets which is more effective for muscular ache.
Generally, fibroadenoma is a painless condition. But in some cases, one can have cyclical pain in the armpits and breast. In this context, I will suggest to continue primosa as suggested by the doctor.
If the pain hasn't worsened, I think she can wait for few more days while taking aforementioned medications. Report back to the doctor and discuss for orthopedic evaluation if she doesn't feel better in the coming week.
I understand you are concerned. But stay relaxed. These are signs of cancer or any other serious concern. Muscular aches or cyclical breast/armpit pain is expected to improve.
Hope I am clear. If you have any other concern I am here to help you.
