Question: Hi,

On 18th of April I had a car accident which resulted in L1 fracture, I had a surgery done on me last Wednesday where the doctor used the old style for surgery instead of the Minimalist Invasive method.

Today I had an x day done and I attached the old x ray pictures, did the screws move or any thing has changed as I feel more pain in my legs and I had difficulty walking today?

Thank you for your kind and informative reply.

God bless you.

Brief Answer:
The screws are well fixed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached X-rays. The screws are well fixed in the vertebral bodies and are in place. The screws have not moved. The pain in the legs and difficulty in walking that you have experienced can be related to muscle stiffness. Regular muscle stretching will help in regaining the tone of the muscles. This can also happen due to mild soft tissue swelling in the area. Mild anti inflammatory pain killers should help in bringing relief.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
