Question: Hi, Please find attached my mom's CT scan report : Slightly confused it says covid to be ruled out And then next time it mention covid correlation. It's Weird. can you please suggest what tablets to be taken to increase immunity power and what kind of food needs to be taken..Kindly call to the below number and advise..my parents are under home isolation and they have undergone for covid test.. COVID -19 infection as we are all aware of is caused by a novel virus and it predominantly produces the described appearance of lung X-ray and HRCT lung scan. The 'ground-glass' appearance is the most common radiological findings of a COVID infection. However, in order to confirm/rule out COVID-19 infection microbiological tests - a throat swab or an antibody test is absolutely necessary. Therefore the doctor has recommended undergoing laboratory tests.
In short, the radiological findings are typical of COVID-19 infection, but lab tests (COVID test) will confirm or rule the diagnosis of COVID-19.
In the meantime, if she has rapid breathing or breathing difficulty she should be hospitalized.
Please follow other protocols of isolation and quarantine.
There are few antiviral medications that are being tried, though not approved. I am sure her local doctor will suggest it if deemed necessary.
As far as immune booster is concerned, she can start tab citravite XT and tab evion - both are vitamin C and vitamin E supplements which enhance immune response. Include colourful vegetables including cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, nuts, seeds and others to enhance immunity.
