Hi Since Last Week Wednesday My Right Wisdom Tooth Underneath
Since last week Wednesday my right wisdom tooth underneath and jaw was feeling pain but for a few days I been doing salt water and mouthwash that calmed the pain but last 2 days I been getting migraine headaches.
I spoke to another doctor not my GP he said it’s linked to your tooth been infected?
Today my tooth doesn’t give too much pain but sensitivity to pressure in the mouth? Sensitive to eat on that side. Is this a infection or not?
Can you advice me please?
It can be related to wisdom tooth.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Headache can be caused by infected tooth especially if it is on the upper part.
Do you have any pain while pressing the gums or root of the respective tooth.
However if the tooth is infected you will have severe pain while pressing the root. In some cases the wisdom tooth grows abnormally in its root and may compress or irritate the nerves and can cause radiating headaches.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. In severe cases a dental X-ray has to be taken and other causes for the headache like migraine or tension headache must be ruled out.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
There is minimal pain but when I brush there a lot of blood.
When I put my mouth to eat it’s very sore?
Then it will be better to start antibiotics.
