Hi, About 3 Weeks Ago I Had A Sore Throat

Question: Hi, about 3 weeks ago I had a sore throat on the left side for two days. On the third day, I noticed what I thought was a blister but it has been there since. It is no longer sore, but I am concerned with what it may be since it is still there. It is on my left, slightly behind the uvula on what I believe is called my oropharynx. I’d like to send a picture. I just would like to know what it is or what I should do about it.

Detailed Answer:
Hii. It looks like you had some allergic pharyngitis which is inflammation of the oropharynx due to any bacterial or viral infection. It looks like you are having some keratosis. Keratosis is due to inflammation due to bacterial infection. This may be due to ongoing allergic inflammation which is not clinical evident but it is still present subclinically. The cause may be due to acid reflux or allergic inflammation. You start taking antibiotic augmentin to prevent any other infection. Take some antiallergic tablet fexofenadine to decrease the allergy. Continue betadine gargle to prevent any bacterial growth. Take antacid to reduce the acid reflux as it can also take part in allergic inflammation. Avoid spicy food, excessive tea coffee. Drink plenty of water. Continue the gargle. Please review if you have any queries.
