Yasmin- the regular oral pills can be used as emergency contraceptive pill. You need to take two pills together as soon as possible and then take two more pills after 12hours of the first dose. It has the same efficacy as the plan B.

Thank you Dr for answering my question.
What also happened before receiving tour guidance, I took the 4 pills of XXXXXXX as one dose together.rsther than leaving 12 hours in between.

Any serious side effects?
In addition to the 4 pills I took as first dose, Do I need to take another 2 pills as a second dose within 12 hours to avoid pregnancy ? Although the total will be 6 pills then.

Taking four pills can cause nausea and vomiting, mild bleeding after few days that stops on its own and gastritis.
There are no serious side effects.
You still need to take two more pills after 12 hours to be completely safe.
