I have wheatish brown colour complexion , can i take glutothione iv treatment for skin whitening ? Is it safe? If so how long should i take iv treatmnt for skin whitening ? Is it temporary or permnt ? Plz help docter %F0%9F%99%82

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

Though can take glutathione for skin whitening but it is not a permanent whitening that you would get. Otherwise glutathione treatment is usually safe. It is expensive. Nevertheless, there have been a few reports of severe reaction to glutathione. Oral tablets need to be taken for 3-6 months I/v injections can be gjven once a werk or once every 2 weeks.

You can use an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid like Glycolic acid) based cream e.g Glyco A cream at night along with a sunscreen durimg the day.
