Question: Hi doctor I am having itching just at the end skin of my vagina and sometimes inside too. I am using boroline and v wash for cleaning. could you please suggest some ointment that can be effective for this. thanks XXXXXXX

recently I was not well so had got several tests done as suggested by gynaecologist but doctor told me that everything is normal in reports. I am attaching here all my recent reports for your reference too. please review the same and let me know if everything seems to be normal thanks

I have seen all the attached reports. The reports are almost normal and no active treatment is needed. The itching in the vaginal area can be related to a vaginal fungal infection or dryness. If there is no whitish discharge then you need not worry.
The itching can be controlled with topical ointment like Betnovate N applied twice a day. In case the itching is persistent then do consult your gynecologist for an examination to rule out any infection and get oral anti fungals prescribed.

Thanks for writing again.
It seems that you have a bacterial vaginosis (BV). It is mostly caused by an anaerobic organism, G.vaginalis. It can be associated with other vaginal infection like yeast infection etc.

Metronidazole or same categorical drug (like Tinidazole/ secnidazole) is the treatment of choice to cure BV. It can be taken as 2 gm single dose. In mixed vaginal infection, AFS kit (combination of Azithromycin, Fluconazole & Secnidazole) is quite effective. Local application of 2% clindamycin gel is also helpful. In such cases, your sexual partner also needs complete course of treatment.

so in short , If I only start taking Metronidazole or same categorical drug (like Tinidazole/ secnidazole) 2 gm single dose daily, if yes please confirm for how many days I should take it and what is the timing of dose.

Also to mention here few things-
we are planning for conceive from this month hence not using any protection
I am taking daily Folivite active tablet
what kind of precaution or treatment is needed for my husband as he is not having any issues.

Better to get the proper medicines prescribed after examination.

Detailed Answer:
Metronidazole or secnidazole 2 gm high dose is taken only once at bedtime for one day. You will also need other anti fungal agents like Fluconazole and azithromycin for proper treatment.
It is better to consult a gynecologist physically instead of taking self medication. Your husband's treatment can be discussed only after a detailed evaluation.
