Hi Doctor, My Daughter Is Having Cut On The Side
Question: Hi doctor,
My daughter is having cut on the side of her lips. Initially, it was on just one side later it became on both sides. It keeps healing (not completely though) but only for a day or two and then reappears. It has now been almost been more than 2 months.
Just to get the name of this issue, I googled it and found that it's named as Angular Cheilitis. Please suggest what to do in such a case.

I have reviewed your query, seen the photos and here is my advice.
Angular cheilitis is common in dry skin.
I will suggest the following:
Neurobion forte tablet or polybion syrup twice a day. It can be taken for many months without any side effects.
Corcal chewable tablet once a day for one month
Chewable Vitamin C supplement daily for prolonged period without any side effects.
Chewable Iron tablet or Dexorange syrup once a day for three months.
For dry skin you can apply vaseline on the affected area twice a day after wetting the area. This will help retain the moisture and heal the skin in sometime.
Also dry skin could be due to "hard" water. So I will recommend RO system water for drinking and cooking purposes for her.
