Question: Hi doctor,
My daughter is of 2.5yrs old. We are not sure if she has ingested the goodnight mosquito liquid but we just caught her holding the wick in her hand and the liquid spilled over the bed. It has been 20hrs this happened and we did not see any symptoms of vomit, allergy. Please suggest.

GoodKnight contains an insecticide called pyrethroid. Since it is in a very dilute formulation, and most of the contents were spilled, chance of significant ingestion and toxicity is minimal.
If at all ingested in considerable amount, symptoms should appear in 24 hours. Just watch for symptoms- burning/redness over face/mouth, headache, stomach pain or vomiting. Only sever cases present with altered sensorium and seizure.
If none of the above said symptoms appear in 24 hours, chance of toxicity is extremely less. So we need not worry much here, but be more cautious in future and keep such things away from children
