Hi Doctor Over The Last 2 Weeks I Have Been

Question: Hi doctor

Over the last 2 weeks I have been get muscle spasms / twitchers throughout my body and also when I close and open my left eye it spams under the eye and also the top of my and eye lid , also my left eye is a lazy eye which I have had since birth .

Please could you give me some guidance as to what it could possibly be...

Thank you for getting back.

I have noted your symptoms and based on that, the most likely diagnosis is benign fasciculation syndrome (BFS). In BFS, there can be random muscle twitches affecting various parts of body. These twitches get worse with anxiety or sleep deprivation.

In addition, you could get the blood work done- calcium, potassium, phosphorus, vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels, as any deficiency can precipitate these muscle twitches.
