Brief Answer:
Possible Vitamin D deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your attached query and reports in detail.

Reports mainly show 2 parameters which are not in the normal range.

1. Serum Vitamin D3- Which can be corrected through nutritional intake of milk, green leafy vegetables, and animal protein. No vitamin supplements are required at this stage.

2. Elevated Alkaline phosphatase which can be ignored in case if you don't experience any of the following symptoms like pain Abdomen, jaundice or vomiting. If such symptoms are present, it's advisable to go for an ultrasound scan of your abdomen. Avoid the intake of fried and fatty food.

Rest of the reports are considered to be within the normal limits.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply!

Though, I've not experienced any kind vomiting or Jaundice yet. But, I would like to know the cause, due to which there is an elevated Alkaline.

In that report, the ALT level is said to high. What is ALT? What are its functions and the causes due to which it got increased?

The Testosterone is also lower this time, as I tested 6 months back, then that time it was above 500 ng/dl. Anyway, to increase it naturally, any supplement except drugs, would you like to suggest to me?

I hope, you'll clarify those asked queries.

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
ALP is a digestive enzyme

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

ALP is a liver enzyme which helps in digestion.
Elevated ALP can suggest gall bladder stones or liver infection.

Elevated ALP without symptoms can be ignored. As a screening measure it's advisable to get an ultrasound abdomen scan in case if levels of ALP don't normalise spontaneously in 2 weeks of time.

Testosterone levels in your case can be considered in normal limits. It's levels are subjected to fluctuations so you need not worry about its changes.

Intake of protein rich foods and limiting fatty food will improve testosterone levels naturally.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for the reply!

A few more queries, I have. I do hope, you'll answer those with ease.

As I don't have any symptoms as of now, so, how could I find that the elevated ALP level will be normalized or not?

The reason for the low level of Vitamin D in the bloodstream?

The role of Cortisol Hormone in the body? How it can be influenced?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Relevant answers provided

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

1. Repeat the LFT after 1 month to check if levels are normalised or not.

2. Low vitamin D in most cases is due to inadequate dietary intake.

3. Cortisol is a stress hormone. It helps the body to fight stress. Too much of cortisol in the body indicate heightened stress levels in the body.
