Hi, Early Today I Went To Do A Light Workout
Question: Hi, early today I went to do a light workout and started getting really nauseous, and my vision started going black. I sat down and started getting numbness/pins and needles through both legs/arms, tongue, and the right side of my face. This made me unable to walk and squeeze my hands, and I was talking with slurred speech and apparently I had right facial droop. This lasted around 10-15mins. People were also unable to find a radial pulse on either arm. I got sent to the ER and the doctor said it was because I didn%E2%80%99t eat before my workout. (My blood sugar levels were fine). However they didn%E2%80%99t conduct a CT/MRI as I%E2%80%99m not in the risk group of someone who would have a stroke (20, fit, healthy, no family history). Should I be concerned/should I check for TIA?
Brief Answer:
If possible do an MRI.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
All the symptoms you mentioned resample to TIA and also taking count that blood sugar was normal hypoglycemia is excluded.
I think you should visit a neurologyst and do an MRI because you had facial drop, and slurred speech.
You are not at risk group being 20 healthy and without family history but in order to be sure you can do an MRI.
If nothing comes out the episode may be related to stress and anxiety.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
