Hi, For The Last Few Days I’ve Been Suffering From

different options available
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
If by acid reducers, you are referring to meds such as tums or pepcid or zantac or gavison- though these meds help coat the stomach and 2 of them (pepcid and zantac) help reduce acid production (the others do not), they are not as good meds such as protonix or prevacid or nexium .
These meds significantly reduce acid production, they cannot get rid of the acid that is already there but they stop future production. Because they do not get rid of the current acid, may sometimes take 3 to 5 days to kick in in some persons.
If you are already using one of these meds with the peptobismol then you may want to switch to an alternative in this family (since persons respond differently to the options) or increase the dose if possible.
In addition , the use dramamine would help with the nausea.
Look at your diet to see if there are any foods that may be aggravating your symptoms such as mint, tomato, caffeine, citrus fruits, fried foods, fatty foods, large meals (small frequent meals are better)
In some persons, severe gastritis or reflux is due to the presence of H pylori bacteria which can be detected by blood or stool test and treated with a 10 day-2 week course of antibiotics
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
