Hi Have A Rash On My Chest And Shoulders That
Question: Hi have a rash on my chest and shoulders that comes in flairs. It appears every April or may (when my allergies flair) and it goes down around august. It has come up for the past 4 years. Every dr says it’s folliculitis. I feel like there has to be a correlation between the rash and my horrible allergies (I had sinus surgery 3 years ago and need to go through allergy testing for a second time but with everything that has been going on in the world I have pushed it off)
Culture of rash Came back negative for fungus and bacteria. Waiting on biopsy results but I don’t have a ton of faith in the derm I’ve seen bc she still thinks it’s acne .... but it ONLY comes up during a Certain time of the year.

Brief Answer:
Could be allergic contact dermatitis, upload pictures for review
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
It could be an allergic contact dermatitis to some pollens and plant materials that grow in this season.
I would recommend you to upload the pictures of the affected areas under the report section of the site so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
What is the extent of itching?
Is it in the form of tiny solid bumps and plaques?
Kindly revert with the answers and pictures.
Regards
Dr. Asmeet

I added 2 pictures. Unfortunately, the rash is not looking too bad right now. When it flairs it’s like this x10.
It’s never itchy
Side note, a few weeks ago I popped a few of them bc I saw a visible white head and a TINY white core came out.
What is here now is not pop-able their just red and raised

Brief Answer:
Acneform eruption, benzoyl peroxide cream & capsule doxycycline
Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached photographs and it is an acneform eruption.
It is more common hot humid weather.
I would recommend this to apply benzoyl peroxide 10 percent cream on the bumps twice daily and take oral antibiotic like capsule doxycycline 100 mg once daily at night for 4 weeks.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Also wear loose fitted cotton clothes, stay in cool airy environment and avoid scrubbing and oiling of affected area .
These measures will help in resolving your problem.
