Hi, I Am Diabetic On Galvus In The Day And
Post antibiotic depletion of lacto bacilli / post diabettic
Detailed Answer:
Hi,Ademolabamiduro,
Thanks for the query.I have read it carefully &understand your concern.
The medications you have been taking for your diabetes &blood pressure problems...are not likely to cause small stools...The only possibilities I think of are-
-Low food intake due to lack of appetite following flu. This would be relieved by B complex supplimentation ( over the counter)
-Bowel infection following antibiotic (because of loss of healthy gut bacteria called Lactobacillus .These normally protect &avoid bowel infections).
-Long standing diabetes itself makes intestinal movements sluggish.
*As you do not have any other symptoms except for small stools...I feel small stools with feel of incomplete clearance of stools could be infestation by Amoeba / diabetes itself.
* In this scenario I would suggest to-
- Increase fibers (vegetables, salads &fruits)&water in your diet plan,Drink two glasses of warm water first thing in morning.
- Follow diabetic diet as advised.
-Take medicines properly
-Regular exercises(walking &yoga) for 40 minutes in a day.
- Over the counter probiotic like Neutrolin B after food would help supplimentation disturbed intestinal flora(lactobacillus)
-Over the counter stool softener (Like Lactulose -1 to 2 spoons at bedtime for 10 Days can be taken.
* If no relief within 5 -7 days of home management you need specific antibiotic after physical examination & needful pathological tests .
Please consult your family physician for prescription.
I hope that solves your problem Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
