Question: Hi i am having too much cough from one month.i have taken one course of tab azithromycin.tab cefixime,tab doxy.but it has not reduced.whenever I cough I am becoming unconscious for few seconds.almost 7 to 8 times it happened.AFB is negative.sputum culture says occasional pus cells, epithelial cells,gram negative bacilli and Gram positive cocci seen in clusters.Normal commensals noted at the end of 48hrs.pls tell me what is this.WBC count before 10 days was 12800

I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the antibiotic list you have taken.
In my opinion, you should get
1. Chest x ray
2. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)
3. Repeat CBC (complete blood count) done.

Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection (pneumonia).
PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis (inflammation of airways).
Both of them cause coughing.

1. Do you smoke?
2. Do you have fever?
3. Do you have chest pain or breathing difficulty?
