Brief Answer:
Use ketoconazole salicylic acid shampoo, continue mometasone for 3-4 weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photographs.
I would recommend you to use a shampoo containing ketoconazole and salicylic acid every alternate day.
You can continue with mometasone cream every alternate day for another 3-4 weeks.
It won’t cause any side effects.
Once the redness and scaling improves you can stop mometasone cream and continue with the shampoo.
There is no permanent cure for seborrhoic dermatitis but you can keep it under control by using the anti dandruff shampoo.

Dr Asmeet

Hi doctor thanks for the reply , i only wash my scalp with a baby shampoo twice a week , on saturday and tuesday.

How can i add anti dandruff shampoo to this schedule , which days do you recommend ?

You said from now on i only use mometasone cream on alternate days , so i was thinking of using it twice a week after washing with the baby shampoo , is this ok ? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Shampoo to be used twice weekly for a long time

Detailed Answer:
Yes the shampoo has to be used twice weekly for quite a long time ( may be years if it suits you) .
Mometasone twice weekly for 3-4 weeks and then once weekly for 3-4 weeks and then you can stop.

Brief Answer:
Can use plain ketoconazole shampoo

Detailed Answer:
I don’t think that salicylic acid shampoo will cause that much peeling to fade your micropigmentation.
To be on a safer side you can go with plain ketoconazole shampoo.
Avoid salicylic acid shampoo.
