As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Okay, if you want to try natural methods then you can try melatonin patch which is a natural hormone that induces sleep. I am not sure of honey, but if it does there is no harm in taking it. Usually, we avoid attention-enhancing food or activities such as high carbohydrate food or sugar based food. Avoid bright lights at bedtime, television or internet/phone.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.

I have not started Nexito Plus yet. It is one in the night. Can i also look at some natural alternatives like honey?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Yes, even I feel the same. 3 weeks is very less duration to start on medicines. I would suggest you try all the natural methods for a minimum of 6 months. Also, there are many people who sleep only for 4 to 5 hours which is very normal.

You can try having chamomile tea just half an hour before your bedtime, they say it helps you to relax and help you to sleep better.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.

Thanks Dr. XXXXXXX for your inputs. As of now i want to hold off taking medicines and try natural alternatives. I have this problem for close to 3 weeks and so i am thinking i will give it some more time to see if it settles down naturally. Let me know your opinion. On a average it is around 4-5 hours of sleep with hardly anything in the day. But i manage to keep going

Dr. XXXXXXX Thanks once again for your reply. I had one question which i wanted to ask which is related to my taking Etizola 0.5 for two months (July-Aug) when i had similar problems and then i stopped it. Will i continue to have withdrawal symptons because of it or do you think i crossed that stage. Also i had H-Pylori treatment over the last weeks and so wanted to know if the sleep issue is related to some anxiety i had due to reflux and gastritis. As you suggested i will try chamomile tea and some cumin tea.

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Abrupt or sudden discontinuation of the tablet may cause some withdrawal or rebound insomnia. It happens in only some people. For you, since it was last taken in August, by now you will be out of it. Do not worry, you will not continue to have withdrawal symptoms. You can have H. Pylori infection because of acidity which is, in turn, a manifestation of anxiety.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.
