Hi, In January I Fell On The Sidewalk And A

Question: Hi, in January I fell on the sidewalk and a rebar punched a 1/4 inch hole just below my kneecap. The doctor did an x ray and said there wasn’t any injury to the joint or anything. It’s healed a lot but I still can’t do squats (the exercise) or run or jump very well because the pressure on my knee begins to hurt it. Will it ever go back to the same as it was before? If so does it just take time for it to heal completely? About how long do you think it would take until I can have full range of motion again?

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

Do you have pain in the knee that gets worse on climbing stairs or cold season?

Since the injury was in January and you still have pain on squatting it indicates that there's a possible injury to the knee cartilage.

Before I can answer your questions it's best to know what we are dealing with by getting an MRI scan of the knee which will tell us about the extent of any joint damage if any.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
