Hi Is It Possible To Get Dryness On The Underside

Question: Hi is it possible to get dryness on the underside of your eyelids as well as the outside. I've visited a few ophthalmologists for a separate reason to do with my lacrimal caruncle but I found a solution. Along the way, one recommended use of Xailin for night comfort for dryness and Hycosans artificial tears too. I just wanted to ask if lid discomfort could relate to underneath which could be noitced if the lids were everted. I had these white nodules in December they were spotted at an eye exam underneath my upper eyelid but they went it was suspected allergy. I wanted to ask now if it was possible to get dryness on the underside of the eyelids as I have had eczema on my face before.

Thanks for the question . I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The lid lining has a lot of glands which help in forming of tear film and they can get blocked / infected leading to their dryness . The underlying surface of the lids can have concretions ( white calcium like deposits ) due to dryness that can cause irritation and sometimes need removal by your ophthalmologist .
