Detailed Answer:
Hii. There is mild improvement of your hearing status as evident from your report. But if you are having discharge then you should start an antibiotic and get treated. Because stapedotomy is a sterile procedure. If your ear get infected then your piston may get affected and hearing may go down. Better to control infection by antibiotic. Please don't go to work unless infection get controlled else you can have permanent hearing loss or giddiness. If your piston get dislocated then you may need to undergo another surgery to reposition the piston. Dislocated piston may lead to hearing loss and no hearing improvement. So better you get yourself treated with antibiotics and follow up with surgeon. It will take another at least 2 week to settle after stapedotomy surgery.

Hi Doctor:
thanks sir for your response.

1.) do you see the piston placement correct from the screen shot attached.

2.) its not discharge but may be some thing watery (Wet) twice a day . its not yellow but feel wet at times with little itchy . My DR dint mention of any infection over there in recent cleaning appointment . i am not sure how long it will take to fully get
this feel dry .

3.) My original question is : if this is possible to have improvement if piston was dislocated. i am going to have a CT scan next week .

4.) This hearing result is after one month of surgery . do you see further improvement forward.

thanks sir .

Detailed Answer:
Hii. There might mild minimal watery discharge which is common. If there is no thick yellowish discharge then your ear has no infection. As far I can analyse the picture, the piston is not dislocated. But it's confirmation can only be done by the surgeon. If piston is dislocated then there is less likely to get hearing improvement. Facial nerve is dehiscent as written in the report. There was chance of facial weakness if the nerve is dehiscent. But as you have no facial weakness then your surgeon has done a very good job.
