Question: Hi, my Dr. attempted to have a prescription for Viibryd for me. I had been on it for quite a while along with my other medication; Gabapentin 300mg 2x, Lamotrigine 150mg 2x, Desvenlafaxin 100mg 1x.The Viibryd really balanced my mood well. I have always suffered from depression so I was so pleased to finally found the right combination. My Insurance changed as of 3/1/18.
I had a high deductible so the cost of the Viibryd was extremely high. I was prescribed Lexapro instead. I became anxious, just uncomfortable so after 2 months I stopped it.
I have Connecticare POS HSA and since have reached my deductible so I do not pay for any meds.. My Insurance declined my Doctor's request. He asked me to see what other medication they will approve instead. I need your advice. I am also on Xarelto and Amiodarone for A-Fib which is closely monitored.

Brief Answer:
Options trazodone or combination

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

The other options which you can discuss , based on the history and description which you gave are a combination of fluoxetine and olanzapine or trazodone alone. The Desvenlafaxin 100mg would preferably need to be stopped if the combination is prescribed. Other than these options, I am afraid the rest depends upon your insurance provider and the limited options.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Hi there, I have had swollen ankles and numbness on the bottom of my feet. I also have a boil on my leg. My hands get pins and needles when in use, driving, computer. I had a physical then sent to a podiatrist. He addressed my wound and told me to see a vascular Dr. I went to him and was given the support socks and said to see him in 6 weeks. He said I have an issue with the blood flow which he will do a procedure in office. I am on Xarelto for my A-Fib. No answers ... Help

Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
With swelling of legs/ numbness, a Doppler ultrasound of the lower limb can be advised to look for any clot/ thrombosis. You didn't specify what exactly would be the procedure that the vascular surgeon intends to perform. Did he point towards varicose veins ?
