They found cancer cells now
Brief Answer:
My opinion as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
In such case, it would be necessary determine the origin of those cancer cells.
A total body CT scan with IV contrast in necessary, coupled with citological exam of the cancer cells, in order to determine their primary origin.
In such case, the primary goal would be treating the cancer, as valve replacement would be useless, in case of an aggressive or advanced stage cancer.
The benefits of surgery should outweigh its risks, but a possible cancer, makes everything more difficult and the decision should be taken based on the type and stage of the cancer.
Hope to have been helpful to you!

They did a bone scan.is cancer cells worse than a tumor? Can it be cured?
Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Cancer is a kind of malign tumor. The fact that it can be cured or not depends on the type of cancer ( there are different types of cancer, with different degrees of aggressiveness) and how much it is spread in the body (if there is presence of metastasis). Localized cancer can be removed by surgery, while disseminated cancer is very difficult to treat (usually chemotherapy or radiation therapy).
You should discuss with his doctor on the above issues.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
