Hi My Name Is XXXXXXX And I’m A 19 Year

Question: Hi my name is XXXXXXX and I’m a 19 year old woman
I have a lump about the size of the pad of my pinky finger around where my abdomen meets my groin, I’ve had it for three months.
It hurts only if squeezed (I originally thought it was an infected ingrown hair so I squeezed it) and it red and there is no discharge but the skin is peeling
My local practice only has one woman on staff and she is on maternity leave so I haven’t been able to have this seen, is it serious enough that I should just allow it to be seen by a man?

Brief Answer:
Possible lymphadenopathy
Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma'am
I can certainly understand your concern
I have worked through your attached query in detail.
As per your description the possibility of a swollen and infected lymph node is very high.
This certainly require a physical examination for further evaluation and confirmation. Doctors of either gender will be enough competent to identify the condition.
This condition immediately require both local and oral antibiotic and pain killer medication for immediate relief and further spread of infection.
Please check with your physician if he or she shares my opinion and can prescribe these medications to you.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you
