Question: Hi, my period started this morning and I was cramping really badly and when i went to the bathroom to change my tampon what i believe was a pretty big clot came out and was just wondering if someone could tell me if that’s what it was and if it’s a normal size or something i should contact my gyno about

Any chance of pregnancy?
If the answer is no for above questions it may be better to get an ultrasound scan to find out endometrial thickness.

Yes, I did miss mg period last month because I ran out of birth control and had to go off it for a month while i waited for an appointment to get a new refill. I just restarted taking the pill 3 weeks ago. There is no chance of pregnancy though.

It may be better to get a blood beta HCG hormone test to rule out pregnancy as you missed pills.
If not a scan to rule out any other issues with ovary or endometrium.
That tissue in pic doesn't look like blood clot.
