![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi my sister is 37 years old on no medication had her second baby 5 months ago. Since then she has been feeling on well. She has been taken to hospital by ambulance 3 times where she has had bloods and ECG and a brain scan. They said they couldn't find anything wrong.
She has never really been sick hasn't seen a doctor si ce she was 17 only seen one when she got pregnant.
She has a pain in her head severe numbness on one side of her body not all the time. It has now moved into her legs where she feels her legs have gone to sleep and they have very bad pins and needles. This seems to get worse at intervals during the day where she has bouts of diarrhoea she feels severe tiredness and dizziness and has to lie down. She has been to doctors but they say she has ti wait ti see a neurologist. I am very worried about her and she feels there is no point in going back to hospital as they keep saying they can find nothing wrong.
Thanks
Trish

Brief Answer:
Migraines and electrolytes imbalance to consider.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have read your query and here is my advice.
In my opinion, the headaches and the subsequent neurological symptoms may be explained by migraine.
Diarrhea may be caused by food intolerance, it may trigger a migraine, but it may cause electrolytes imbalance if prolonged.
So, I think that blood tests for electrolytes levels and an evaluation by a Neurologist are necessary in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.
