Question: Hi sir, I am 40 & got 1 stent 6 months back due to heavy pain in chest. So can I drink 3-4 packs of whisky 3 days in a week

I have one stent implant i.e. angioplasty without attack due to heavy pain in chest. So can I drink whiskey 3-4 packs or 180 ml 3 days in a week.
My age is 40 and doing regular exercise on daily basis.
Taking one deplatt & one ecosprin daily

After going to the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern and I would like to tell you that the medications which you are taking after angioplasty that is ecosprin and clopidogrel both are blood thinners. Ecosprin and alcohol both causes gastritis and the combination of them can lead to severe gastritis which can even cause bleeding from the gastric mucosa.
So it’s not advisable to take alcohol along with these medications.

After six months of stent implant, as I had no sign of heart attack but due to heavy pain i had to go for angioplasty. But now I am feeling quite well, doing regular exercise, so can I skip ecosprin for a day when I drink whiskey to avoid gastiritis.
If yes is there any other harm to create a blockage again due to whiskey if I drink 180 ml 2 times In a week.
