Brief Answer:
If no fracture... Skin discolouration is normal stage in healing .

Detailed Answer:
Hi Hanusaikrishna786,
Thank you for the query on health care magic.
I have read it &understand your concern.
I have seen the attached image... which shows bluish discolouration of skin of internal part of thigh. This type of discolouration suggests soft tissue injury to the part, following the fall...such trauma causes oozing of blood from small blood vessels in the region.
The difficulty in walking he has could be due to pain &inflammation of the soft tissue OR
injury to bones underneath.Your doctor has taken x-ray of knee &declared it to be normal.
* In my view, a complete examination of the full limb as well as complete body to exclude any other associated injury / an XRay of limb from hip joint , thigh&knee should be taken &exclude any injury to long ones as well as both the joints ... is essential .(specially in elderly patients) please have a discussion with your treating doctor about all of this.
* In case nothing else is alarming... such discolouration is a part of natural healing.(it would be black, green, yellow &normal skin colour lastly). The part may be painful to pressure or strain till complete healing is attained.
Let him take rest , he may have assisted movements if fracture is excluded.cold pack would help ..over the counter anti inflammatory pill like Ibuprofen would hasten healing...can be given till doctor prescribes specific medication.
I hope that answers your query.Any follow up query is welcome
Thanks
