Brief Answer:
Can give the same dose

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to Ask A Doctor service
I have gone through your query and understand your concern

I guess he do not have any fever.
You can continue the same dosage, but 9ml given twice times daily will be more appropriate with this drug, for his weight.

In addition, Zinc as mentioned by you and a probiotic will make recovery faster. You can give Z&D plus drops(20mg/ml) 1ml once daily for 14 days, and ECONORM XXXXXXX twice daily for 5 days.

Also, give frequent sips of ORS solution or salted rice water after each stools to avoid dehydration(around 250ml/1 glass after each stools). Avoid giving fruits and fruit juices now, as these might exacerbate diarrhea.

No need to worry. He will be alright shortly.

I hope this answer will help

Brief Answer:
You can change to 9ml twice daily

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

No worries, you can change to 9ml twice daily even if you have already started.

No need to worry about stool consistency. This is because of mucus present in stool because of enteritis/bowel inflammation. It will clear with resolution of infection

The present combination of medicines is correct, no need to add anything more

Entero plus XXXXXXX can be given instead of ECONORM, although its a bit costly. Give one XXXXXXX daily for 5 days. This has to be given 2-3 hours before or after giving antibiotic(O2 syrup)

I hope this answer will help
If you need further clarification, I will be happy to help
Regards, Dr Aslam
