Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the x ray report you have attached.
If you can send me picture of x ray film then it would be more beneficial.
I am asking this because there is possibility of false reporting many times.
Some radiologist report this as patchy pneumonitis while some report it as prominent bronchovascular markings.
I am telling you real time scenario.
So please send me picture of his both x ray films so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of asthma is more likely.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
Sorry for late reply as I was busy.
In my opinion, he is either having asthma or allergic bronchitis.
Honestly speaking, there is no clear cut diagnostic test for these diseases.
They are more or less clinical diagnosis.
But I don't think it is hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
What is AEC (Absolute eosinophil count)?
What was clinical finding of pediatrician? Was there any rhonchi or wheezing on auscultation by stethoscope?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.

Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
The x ray your have attached is normal.
Asthma and allergic bronchitis are common causes for repeated cough.
And recurrent viral infection is the most common cause for this.
Another important cause if ongoing construction work in surrounding area.
Do you have any such construction site near your home?
Treatment is proper.
You can ask about adding montelukast (anti allergic) and fexofenadine (antihistamine) because this has been shown better results in allergic cough.
Another useful test would be PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Have you ever suggested this test by any of the doctor?

Yes, both the x rays are normal.
No need to worry for pneumonitis.
Better not to give flu shot now. Give after 1 month.
And get done annually.
I still insist you to get done PFT if possible.
What was his opinion about PFT?

Budecort is ICS only.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
ICS is inhaled corticosteroid. Commonly used ICS are budesonide and fluticasone.
Budecort is having budesonide. So budecort is ICS.
Was there any rhonchi or wheezing in auscultation through stethoscope by this pediatrician?
Has he prescribed any anti allergy (montelukast)?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
