Hi, So I Have Had This Itchy Patch Bit Red
Question: Hi, so I have had this itchy patch bit red on my left thigh firm .I thought it was a bug bite so I left it . But the itchiness has continued and redness for 2-3 days ... the patch is warm to touch . I can ignore the itchiness. But Just now about 20 minutes the area has turn blue ... like a bruise . Please help ... is it serious

On the other hand, itchy red patches can be caused by insect bites, a local reaction (dermatitis) or a fungal infection.
Cold compresses would be helpful to settle the inflammation and help with the itchiness, swelling, and redness. Try to avoid scratching the area as sometimes bruising may complicate the lesion if rough scratching happens.
If you think there is a chance that this can be a tick bite, you will need to see the doctor soon and get some oral antibiotics to prevent Lyme disease.
