Hi There, I Had A French Toast Tonight From A

Question: Hi there, I had a French toast tonight from a familiar restaurant and 3.5 scoops of protein powder (I consume 1 G protein per lb body weight and am vegetarian so I consume that much to make that ratio). I did drink the protein powder fast mixed with a good amount of water, but I vomited once (no blood or anything concerning). I am just concerned that maybe I may be having too much? Or am not sure what the vomiting was due to. Please advise. Thanks.

It is whey protein but I haven't changed the quantity of consumption and neither have I had this happen before, so I thought I'd ask.
Brief Answer:
Mild indigestion.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details,
Very likely vomiting was due to mild indigestion.Vomiting is a natural method used by body to get rid of toxins.
Suggest you to wait and watch and if vomiting reoccurs take Tablet Zofran 4 mg(can be taken upto three times a day).
Protein intake is very high and usually that much high protein intake is not recommended unless well tolerated by your body.
Take very light and easily digestible food today which is easier for your tummy to digest.
In case episode of vomiting recurs please follow up.
Thank you!
